A little about me and the site…
As they say, you can’t bullshit a bullshitter. Well… I’m a bullshitter. Global warming is bullshit. Want proof? You won’t find it, either way. Thirty years ago, I sat in science class and listened to the teacher rattle on about how the next ice age was coming and that we were running out of oil. Hmm… sure gas is over $3.00 a gallon, but not due to short supply and temperatures are rising? I guess my science teacher, Mr. Wagner, was wrong. I didn’t believe him then and I don’t believe what the media is saying now.
You might be asking, “why does this guy think his view is so special, what the hell does he know?” I’ll tell you… I am sick of the media and government and hippies and tenured college professors and their brainwashed pupils and bloodsucking environmental groups and bloggers and celebrities and politicians and Al Gore shoving their agenda down my throat. I play with my kids, I love my wife, I pay my bills and taxes, I employ several people, I give to the poor, I go to church and I take the garbage out. I will drive what I want, I will pay for premium gas for my Audi TT Roadster, I will cut my grass before 6:00, I will use my recycling bin for storing unused paint, I will leave my lights on while I’m at work, I will keep my thermostat at 71 in the summer and 73 in the winter and I currently have over 7,000 Christmas lights on from 6 until midnight. I do these things because it makes my family and me happy. Remember that “Pursuit of Happiness” thing? No. Maybe you should brush up on the Declaration of Independence.
Now about the site… why EvilCarbon.com?
Simple… I’m here to piss off the hippies! That’s it.

Amen I say to you, AMEN! The world has so much carbon locked up just waiting for us to release it so we can get back to an Earth in the Balance, which is 10 degrees warmer (just kidding - I really don’t know what the average temperature of the earth has been over it’s history - yet, but 10 degrees moves the coast closer to me so I don’t have to burn extra gas to get to the coast). For 4.5 Billion (yes, that’s a “B”) years, Mother Earth has been on a journey to find balance, and that includes wild temperature variations in her quest. For most of Mother Earth’s history, she has been much hotter, and that was before thongs were invented. To be arrogant enough to believe that just because we are here now, and we believe this is how things have always been and should always remain is lunacy on the order of saying Mother Earth is flat. Change happens. So what we really need is a way to change the fact that “pay me for your idiocy” Al Gore is never held accountable for the drivel he is spewing, which is far more detrimental to Mother Earth than his private jet.

wonderful, just wonderful. there are some people, at least who really hates the GW. Thogh i am my self a science post graduate(organic chemistry). like u i love nature and try to do as much as possible to protact the earth /environment. that is what our fore fathers had been doing for centuries. thats why the earth is liveable today. there are many people doing something to protact the environment whith out being noticed or media coverage.

Speaking of dumb humans, take a look at “Greenland” on a map and tell me what color it is. Why is it that if the earth is warming, it is the fault of big business or GW? Pretty naive emt. The earth will warm, and then it will cool again. Then it will warm again. Then cool. Ad Infinitum. Just enjoy the ride and start complaining about the real problem - Hilary and the libs.

You don’t seem very happy to me. You seem bitter. How does a car make you happy, or is it that you can afford an expensive car that makes you feel happy? Is your personal happiness your whole goal in life. You mention going to church above like its some kind of box to check off of a list of things to do, why bother?

Global warming is bullsh*t alright. I just can’t believe how how much of the World has signed up to this crud including the normally analytical Europeans. Isn’t it amazing how the pro-GW ‘debators here criticise personality but fall flat on discussing the facts? The debate is over because neither the IPCC, Al Gore nor Euro Govts have a fact to stand on. All I know is the fuel companies of the the world are loving this. (GW) I am lowering my carbon footprint just to stop them from making anymore money off my family. And if anyone believes in God then we have a lot more pressing problem in this world than GW.

Some thoughts from someone who is probably going to live a lot longer than you, but is resentful that you’re making it harder for her:
1. I really could care less about global warming’s effect on polar bears or whales or whatever, but I’m smart enough to see the connection that if global warming can affect forests and animals and whatnot, it can affect me, as well. (This is of course, assuming it’s real…wait for it…)
2. I really like being alive.
3. I don’t know if global warming is real or not, but I know that pollution and the hole in the ozone layer ARE real, and that they have real effects. I don’t like cancer. (See #2)
4. Had you ever considered that your “pursuit of happiness” is directly affecting other people’s “pursuit of happiness”?
Personally, I ask for very little. I would be happy to drink clean water. I would be happy to breathe clean air. I would be happy to eat uncontaminated food.
I’m pretty sure that other people would be happy with these things, too. Not just those who can afford water and air filters, and organic food.
P.S. I’m not actually offended. I could care less which party you vote for, or how much you love or hate communists/hippies, but I do care that you’re a hypocrite.

Why do people annoyed by environmentalists take it out ON the environment? Living a little cleaner takes minimal effort, but you’re proudly boasting that you’re not going to try *just* because you don’t like the “hype”. Boo-fucking-hoo. You’re a weak-minded ingrate.

It’s so blatantly obvious that the whole global warming swindle is a complete hippy publicity stunt, not to mention a really lame political bandwagon.
I’ve spent so much time explaining why global warming is a load of bullcrap to so many people; after hearing my side they always change their minds about it. It’s obviously the least scientific theory in the history of, well; the universe.
In the 1920s, there was a massive campaign that was the exact opposite to this; a tiny cooling trend bigged-up by the media sent everyone into a mad frenzy, thinking they’d freeze to death. What the sheep-like public don’t realise is that humans survived the incredibly warm Middle Ages and Mini-Ice Age of the 1700s without heating or air conditioning.
I’m just 16, taking my GCSE exams, and my generation is constantly accused of not being smart enough (of course; we get good grades because the government can’t write hard enough papers! That works…). Really, it’s older generations that need the educating sometimes.
No idea if you know about this, but more than 31,000 scientists (9,000 of which have PhDs) have recently signed a petition stating that humans are not causing ‘global warming’. The petition says that “There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of greenhouse gases would harm the environment or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate”, as they actually benefit the planet more than they could harm it. It also states that “The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.”
Just in case anyone needed proof that it’s not a lovely, unflawed little theory that’s supported by the entire scientific community. The only scientists who support it are the ones paid to prove it, for goodness’ sake.
Global warming is over, hippies and uneducated prats.

Intriguing and thoughtful post Kezzi, I approve. My single comment would be just because “scientists” sign the petition doesn’t mean they’re working in the field - and I speak as a science graduate myself. However, you present some interesting points, and make a strong case.
Global warming is real. The earth is warming up.
And it’s not our fault.
Of course, people are worried because rising sea levels might flood their homes. This strikes me as not so much out of concern for “the environment” (which, after all, does its own thing), but for *their* environment. Mother nature wants it’s land back underwater, and it just so happens people are living on it.
That’s not to say there aren’t good reasons to recycle and switch lights off. Recycling reduces litter, which is unsightly and smelly, and switching lights of reduces the electricity bill, which is expensive. However, your analysis of the scams on this site are enlightening, and certainly expose a dichotomy between those who wish to help the environment, and those who wish to make a quick buck doing lip-service.
