Gore drops the Bali
Evil Carbon
So I was sitting here watching the Cleveland-Buffalo game (getting hammered by 8″ of “global warming”) and thinking to myself, what ever happened to the global warming conference in Bali? So I did some reading… the first headline that caught my eye was, “Gore faults U.S. for impeding global warming negotiations.” Why is Algore so intent on making the US look like the chain smokers of the world? Easy… IT SELLS!!! Please read the article. No mention of his private jet that flew 20,000+ miles to get to and from Indonesia or his multiple estates that suck more energy that a small city. Hmmm… Perhaps the former US vice-president spoke too soon.
Let’s talk about Algore (and winning the Nobel Prize for “ for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change“. OK, I feel warm and fuzzy. Now, how about the 1907 Nobel Prize for Chemistry… Svante Arrhenius - Greenhouse effect as cause for ice ages. Huh? A chemist or a total bullshitting, self-serving politician. Your choice.

I am sad to find your arguments follow the reverse logic of many global warming skeptics. The logic works like this
1) I don’t want to regulated or told what to do.
2) If global warming is real I will be regulated more.
3) I will promote any and all “data” (read non-expert opinion) that suggests global warming is either not happening or is not human caused.
4) I will ignore the opinion of experts because they said something different a long time ago when conditions were different and less data was available.
5) I return to previous unsustainable behavior.
6) I will tell people I recycle and therefore I am a friend of the Earth.
Nice …….. and all too unoriginal.

I know this is an old post, but I only just found this blog.
“A chemist or a total bullshitting, self-serving politician. Your choice.” Implies there is disagreement between the two. Did you read what Arrhenius got the Nobel prize for? (Not just the title) He showed that a significant reduction in atmospheric carbon dioxide could explain the ice ages and conversely, a rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels could raise global temeratures.
