An email to downwithcarbon.org

January 31st, 2008 by Evil Carbon

I run a website called EvilCarbon.com. I wouldn’t say I am pro- or anti-global warming, but I am against scams and money making operations based on the fear of global warming… I think they call that fear-mongering. I posted an article on January 4th entitled, “Earthrace - A $3,000,000 wave-busting turd” and in response to the article the Earthrace people mentioned your site downwithcarbon.org, buying carbon offsets from you as the method they were going to run the race carbon-neutral.

From browsing your site it seems to me that people/companies

1. Buy carbon offsets from you

2. You buy equipment (with their money) to convert waste oil to biodiesel

3. You sell the biodiesel (you keep the money)

Sounds like a free ride to me. In my business, the people who give me money are called investors, not suckers. Maybe you guys are smarter than me. This is truly “something for nothing”… the “free lunch” does exist. I await your response at EvilCarbon.com.

Earthrace - A $3,000,000 wave-busting turd

I am sure you haven’t heard about this yet.

Earthrace

Earthrace, a weird looking, “wave piercing trimaran”, a.k.a. a boat, will try to set the world record for circumnavigating the globe by powerboat (current record 74 days, 23 hours and 53 minutes, they’re shooting for 65 days). The catch? Earthrace will handcuff itself, Houdini style, “by running on exclusively 100% Biodiesel fuel, and with a net zero carbon footprint. Admirable goals, you might say… let’s look closer. Biodiesel fuel, while not uncommon anymore, is also not widely available. “The voyage includes twelve refueling stops at various ports around the globe. For around half of them, we are linking in with existing biodiesel producers and marketers who are sponsoring fuel. For the others however, such as Majuro (Marshall Islands), Koror (Palau) and Panama, we are shipping fuel which will be ready at the dock when we arrive.” Let me get this straight, Earthrace will guzzle over 7,000+ gallons of 100% Biodiesel fuel ($3.50/gallon x 7,000 gallons = $24,500) and leave no carbon footprint? As far as I can find, biodiesel is 74% cleaner than regular diesel. So what about the other 26%? And how exactly is the 3,500+ gallons getting to the Marshall Islands, Palau and Panama? The Gossamer Albatross? My guess regular tanker boats and trunks running regular diesel. Not to mention all the “volunteers” and support crew traveling in their cars, boats and planes to assist in the journey. That’s a lot of “zero carbon footprint” in the name of saving the earth. Nice scam guys.

Gore drops the Bali

December 16th, 2007 by Evil Carbon

So I was sitting here watching the Cleveland-Buffalo game (getting hammered by 8″ of “global warming”) and thinking to myself, what ever happened to the global warming conference in Bali? So I did some reading… the first headline that caught my eye was, “Gore faults U.S. for impeding global warming negotiations.” Why is Algore so intent on making the US look like the chain smokers of the world? Easy… IT SELLS!!! Please read the article. No mention of his private jet that flew 20,000+ miles to get to and from Indonesia or his multiple estates that suck more energy that a small city. Hmmm… Perhaps the former US vice-president spoke too soon.

Let’s talk about Algore (and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)) winning the Nobel Prize for “ for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change“. OK, I feel warm and fuzzy. Now, how about the 1907 Nobel Prize for Chemistry… Svante Arrhenius - Greenhouse effect as cause for ice ages. Huh? A chemist or a total bullshitting, self-serving politician. Your choice.

Evil Carbon is born

December 5th, 2007 by Evil Carbon

Welcome to the forum at EvilCarbon.com! This is where we get the truth out about Global Warming, Carbon Credits, Footprints, Sinks and Offsets, being “Green” and why Al Gore is the world’s biggest douche bag.

A little about me and the site…

As they say, you can’t bullshit a bullshitter. Well… I’m a bullshitter. Global warming is bullshit. Want proof? You won’t find it, either way. Thirty years ago, I sat in science class and listened to the teacher rattle on about how the next ice age was coming and that we were running out of oil. Hmm… sure gas is over $3.00 a gallon, but not due to short supply and temperatures are rising? I guess my science teacher, Mr. Wagner, was wrong. I didn’t believe him then and I don’t believe what the media is saying now.

You might be asking, “why does this guy think his view is so special, what the hell does he know?” I’ll tell you… I am sick of the media and government and hippies and tenured college professors and their brainwashed pupils and bloodsucking environmental groups and bloggers and celebrities and politicians and Al Gore shoving their agenda down my throat. I play with my kids, I love my wife, I pay my bills and taxes, I employ several people, I give to the poor, I go to church and I take the garbage out. I will drive what I want, I will pay for premium gas for my Audi TT Roadster, I will cut my grass before 6:00, I will use my recycling bin for storing unused paint, I will leave my lights on while I’m at work, I will keep my thermostat at 71 in the summer and 73 in the winter and I currently have over 7,000 Christmas lights on from 6 until midnight. I do these things because it makes my family and me happy. Remember that “Pursuit of Happiness” thing? No. Maybe you should brush up on the Declaration of Independence.

Now about the site… why EvilCarbon.com?

Simple… I’m here to piss off the hippies! That’s it.

My carbon footprint is bigger than yours and you know what they say about big feet.
